    1. Re: [A-L] Re. Mulhouse Records
    2. Ewald, You are amazing! I am going to have to put the puzzle pieces together! What is it they say...be careful of what you wish for!!! I do have a Jean VONACHEN, born in Salmbach in 1815 in my data base. However, I have him married to a Marguerite Liebman and forgot to record where I found his spouse, Marguerite. A very big genealogy mistake! His birth date seems to work with the birth of Georges, if he was 30 at the time of his birth. I have one child listed for Jean and Marguerite...Reine VONACHEN, (F) born in 1840. Perhaps Marguerite died and Jean remarried Marie Marguerite BILLMANN. Unfortunately, I have no date of death for Marguerite Liebman, just a birth date of 1811, All the other Jean VONACHENS, in my history, were born in the 1700s. If this is the same Jean VONACHEN, yes, he would be a second cousin to my great-grandfather, Johann Augustis VONACHEN, born in Niederroedern in 1826. How wonderful of you to remember the data on my great grandfather!!! Getting older is starting to strain my memory...most frustrating!!! What I probably need to find is a marriage record for Jean VONACHEN and Marie Marguerite BILLMANN. I wonder if they married in Mulhouse.... A multitude of thanks for all your assistance and for the knowledge you unselfishly afford our AL list. You are most kind and so giving. This is our Fourth Of July celebration weekend in the USA. We always enjoy celebrating this holiday. Many thanks again, Arlene Vonachen McCabe Charlotte, NC USA **************Gas prices getting you down? Search AOL Autos for fuel-efficient used cars.
