Sorry with Christmas have not gotten back to my Christmann ancestors I had the reels for early 1790 but could not get much out of them. I wonder where Jean Jacques Christmann is related to my ancestor. My ancestor's name was Pierre Christmann. He married a Elizabeth Strehl in 1830 and my gr grandfather was the second siblilng to that family. Get back to me as I think they must be related as this was a very small community. Wonder if they were brothers. Since Pierre got married in 1830 I think they could have been brothers. Both the groom and bride were 25 on the date they married at Cossweiler on 31 July 1838. The groom was the son of Jacques Christmann (Sr) age 46, also a day laborer and of his wife, Elisabeth Kleinlogel, b 1789. Don't have much else on this line though, but do have the witnesses and their relationships. I am related to the Kleinlogel, Froehlich, Heitz, Fritchmann, Schwartz and several other families of that area, including, Cossweiler, Westhoffen, Wangen and Romansweiler.
