Walter... I searched for Latour on http://www.geopatronyme.com/ and found that there were Latour's living in Baase Ham, Moselle, between 1891-1915. Baase Ham is not that far from Blieskastel, so I thought it was worth mentioning. He is listed as "living temporarily in Blieskastel" in 1696. Someone wrote in a post this week that "many families in Alsace and Lorraine moved to the Pfalz following the Thirty Years War". Thomas had a son named Johann who was born in Blieskastel in 1696 and a son named Hermann who was born about 1700. Hermann's name was spelled LaTur several times in the German records, I presume to preserve the pronunciation. I'm interested in Thomas Latour's birthplace and any relatives. I send this about every three years. Hope all of you are well. This is a great list.
