Paul, German surnames ending with "inger" usually derive from the name of a place ending with "ingen". E.g. "Kentzinger" means "originating from Kentzingen", etc. In the case of Schwarzinger, there should be a place "Schwarzingen" or "Schwerzingen" somewhere in Germany, Switzerland, or Austria -- but don't know where. I guess Schwarzenegger means "from the place named Schwarzenegg or Schwarzeneck". There is a Schwarzenegg in Switzerland.
