    3. Hi Sue, Bliesransbach (ZIP 66271) is part of Kleinblittersdorf (Kleinbliederstroff in French) since 1 Jan 1974. BLIESRANSBACH (Saarland, Germany) is located about 15 km South-East of Sarrbrücken. The distance between Bliesransbach and Niederbronn-les-Bains (Bas-Rhin, Alsace) is about 61 km. 3. Thanks for your information. I was not sure if Bliesransbach was a separate town or part of Kleinblittersdorf. I have also seen the town listed in the region/states of Bayern, Rhineland and Saarland. I suppose this depends on the time frame. Thanks again, Sue On Sat, Jun 25, 2011 at 10:16 AM, Ewald K. <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi Sue, > > Bliesransbach (ZIP 66271) is part of Kleinblittersdorf (Kleinbliederstroff > in French) since 1 Jan 1974. > > BLIESRANSBACH (Saarland, Germany) is located about 15 km > South-East of Sarrbrücken. 3. Dear Sue, Looking at maps Bliesransbach looks to be a separate town but, according to the website it seems to be a part of Kleinblittersdorf. I am not familiar with the area. I did see that FamilySearch.org has the Bliesransbach Catholic church records available for the years 1685-1787. In the following link click "place search" type "Bliesransbach" in the place box, and click search. If you are not familiar with this service it can be very useful. Quite often it is the only way to verify that you are indeed looking at the correct place.   http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/FHLC/frameset_fhlc.asp You will also see that FamilySearch lists Bliesransbach as being a part of Preußen, Rheinland. I'm not sure but, I believe the territorial changes occurred after the end of WWII.   Steve ________________________________ From: shill <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Mon, June 27, 2011 6:09:26 AM Subject: Re: [A-L] Place name help please---"Bliefs Rauspach" Thanks for your information.  I was not sure if Bliesransbach was a separate town or part of Kleinblittersdorf.  I have also seen the town listed in the region/states of Bayern, Rhineland and Saarland.  I suppose this depends on the time frame.
