A co-worker of mine has sought my help with a project she's working on: <<I'm working on a project here for a site that is going to provide people with help detecting hidden or obscured text on digital images (photographs of historic materials like manuscripts, letters, or book pages with marginalia). The project director is looking to try some of his image processing techniques with microfilm images.>> All of us have come across such records. To help her collect possible candidates I'm asking members of this list to mail me directly with EXACT citations (FHL microfilm number, page or date of record; or community, record type and date from the online Bas-Rhin or Haut-Rhin registers) for records that fit this description. I can't promise to get back to you (especially if I'm deluged with examples), but know that all submissions will be appreciated.
