Hello, My name is Dan Fulghum and I'm researching my Great-Great-Grandfather, Uriah Parker. He was born June 22, 1787, in Georgia. He moved to Montgomery County, Alabama, where he married Susannah J. Davis. She disappeared and he later married Mary Mothershed in Pike County, Alabama. I understand that Mary is possibly Native American. Uriah was a preacher and help establish several Baptist churches in Alabama and Arkansas. Uriah and Mary settled in Bradley County, Arkansas, where they had eight children. Mary disappeared and he married my Great-Great-Grandfather, Marvel McLendon's, widow Temperance Hawthorn Thompson McLendon. Supposedly, Marvel and Temperance had also been married in Pike County.
