One of the Wolfe Pack ran across a posting in this Forum that applied to the Wolfe Lineage that we've been working on. We have other family information if anyone is interested. It provided information about the marriage, his will (of sorts), census information and that a Thomas Dickey has served in the 39th Infantry, CSA, Pike County, AL. Does anyone know for sure that the Thomas Dickey who served in the 39th Infantry is the same Thomas S. Dickey who married Narcissa Ann Wolfe? He apparently died before 4 October 1862 when his wife was appointed administratrix of the settlement of his estate. The 39th Infantry was formed in May 1862 and what with training and moving around the 39th didn't have any formal battles(and very bloody battles resulting in great loss of life)until after the appointment of his wife to handle his estate. Of course he could have died from sickness and not during any battle(s). Couldn't find a website with rosters of the general troops. Some information on the officers and staff which does not include his name. And we would be interested in knowing what happened to Narcissa Ann Wolfe Dickey and her children when the personal property of the estate was sold to relatives to pay off debts. Did she remarry or migrate elsewhere? She isn't shown on any later census information which was also posted. We would appreciate any additional information that anyone might have.
