They were grown and raised by the time that Phillip married my great-great-grandmother Mary Jane. February 8, 1871 - believe she died in infancy h.. General Taylor, b. March 29, 1872, m. Ellen Y. VAUGHN (children: Walter, Henry, Bessie, Ruby, John Ben, Felton, and Polly) I am particularly interested in locating descendants of the SHEPHERD family so that I might possibly discover some additional information on Phillip and his first wife as well as his parents. I have heard that SHEPHERD was a Sheriff. Also, Mary Jane PASSMORE JOHNSON's mother, Anna THIGPEN PASSMORE DEESE, married Isham DEESE (died in the Civil War of measels) in Troup County, GA in 1838. They moved to Barbour County, AL where they had the following children: Milton, Riley, Sid, Mack, John, and Fanny.
