Posted on: Pike County, Al Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Al/Pike/1636 Surname: Dickey ------------------------- Karen, Don't know the exact date, but Thomas Dickey of Pike who served as Pvt, Co A, 39th Ala Inf Rgt died some time in 1862; a Josh Dicky who also served in the Co A survived the war; he is listed as Thomas S. Dickey at the Natl Archives and probably also at State; Josh is Joshua D.W. Dickey; I do not find that any of the Dickey line filed for a Confederate Pension in Pike County following the war.
