I find in Pike county a Daniel, Laughlin and John McKinnon as receiving land grants. My William McKinnon b. 1801, N.C. was in Ms by 1820. Also a Daniel, brother or father. Daniel then disappeared. Does anyone in Pike Co. Ala. have any information on McKinnons in Pike county or do research on them. My William named three of his male children Daniel, Laughlin and John, but I can account for all of them in Ms. I have never been able to trace my William or find his parents or family. Also looking for Lovitts (Major and Catherine) who came to Alabama and Ms at same time. Thanks, Carlene McKinnon Piloian
