I have ancestors with the name Minshew. I have been told that it was and still is pronounced Mincey. There is supposed to be a Mincey Bridge in Pike or Barbour. My ancestors were Jacob Minshew that came from Dobbs Co. NC. and his family. I have the names of the children Etc. There were also brothers of Jacob but don't have the names in my head.
