To Pat Bagwell and others: My name is Gerald Hampton Boswell and I was born near Troy, Pike, Alabama Feb. 14, 1936. My father was Waco Hobson Boswell, born in Bullock or Pike county Oct. 9, 1898. My mother was Bama Corrine Hickman, born in Bullock or Pike county Oct 9, 1899. Both died in Phenix City, Russell, Alabama in 1983 and 1984 respectively. My father's parents were Winfield F. Boswell and Ida Josephine Bassett. Winfield was born at Boswell's Crossing, Pike, Alabama in 1868. His father was Sanburn and Elizabeth (Young) Boswell. Three of their children are: Wilbon Boswell, born at Boswell's Crossing in 1891 and died at San Antonio, Bexar, Texas 5 Oct 1949. Buried at Austin, Travis, Texas. Spouse was Maggie Elmina Autrey, married Apr. 1916. Jimmie Gleen Boswell, born 5 Apr. 1894. Spouse C.G. Richardson. No other information. Hubert Harris Boswell, born 28 Jan 1900, died Sep 1953. No other information. This is as far back as I can trace the Boswell side of the family. If you can help, I would appreciate it. I have been in contact with Ron Head who has helped greatly in tracing my line of descent on my mother's side of the family. He is also working on helping with the Boswell line as his wife is descended from the Boswells. It is good to make contact with all that are in our line of descent and even those that might be.
