HICKMAN was living with his parents in Dale County, Alabama in 1870. The family was back in Pike County, Alabama for the 1880 Census. The father, John HICKMAN was not on the 1880 Census, it is assumed that he had died. Samuel R. is not on the Pike County, Alabama Census in 1880, I assume that he was in Texas. Polly, I have a considerable amount of information on the HICKMAN family. How much of it do you want? I will gladly send anything that I have; in return, I would like to have anything that you have on the descendants of Samuel R. HICKMAN. Thanks, "Sonny" Wm. Flake Joiner 311 East Church Street P. O.
