If anyone can help, please get in touch. ELIAS NICHOLS, son of Joel Lafayette Nichols and Susan Elizabeth Wellmaker, was born in Wilkes County, Georgia, 12-24-1851. He married Mosella Gertrude Carnes 12-10-1872, in Chrenshaw County, Alabama. She was the daughter of Thomas Carnes and Martha Tyner, born in Pike County, Alabama, 12-14-1851 and died 06-13-1918, in Crenshaw County, Alabama. They are buried at the MT. Ida Church Cemetery in the Mt. Ida Community near Brantley, Alabama. Their children; Joel Evan Nichols, Bula M. Nichols, Marvin M. Nichols, Susan Lessie Nichols, and Etta Nichols.
