John STEVENS b abt 1825/27 in NC, moved to Walton Co., FL md Harriett ALTMAN 06 Jul 1844 in Pike Co., AL 2. Newton STEPHENS b abt 1826 in NC, md Elisabeth ALTMAN 15 Jul 1847 in Pike Co., AL. Died abt 1869. Had children: a. (Named in Joshua's will) Jasper N. b abt 1848/49 in AL, md Elizabeth FOWLER 06 Dec 1867 in Pike Co., AL b. (Named in Joshua's will) Nancy J. b abt 1850 in AL, md John WORTHINGTON c. (Named in Joshua's will) Mariah E.(There is a Mariah E. STEVENS living with Daniel STEVENS in Coffee Co., AL. Since Newton died abt 1869 this could be his dau living with her Uncle). This is a guess. d. Mary A. b abt 1848/50 in AL e. Joshua L. b abt 1851 in AL f. Elizabeth b abt 1854 in AL 3. Daniel J.
