    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Jackson, Tanton, Thibideaux and so many other Southeast Texas Families!! Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/QU.2ADI/82.98.2.1.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Hi Michelle, Took me a while to get back to you. You sure have done your homework!! WHOA! That is some really good work you posted. THANK YOU for sharing it with me. As for Cecil Tanton, I have HEARD of an UNCLE Cecil Tanton in our family. I know nothing about him, EXCEPT that there is a Cecil Loyd Tanton, who was the son of William Archie & Gladys [Jackson] Tanton. He was b. 05 Jul 1939 in Jasper County, Texas. (Don't have his death date or place of death, nor burial, nor a wife's name.) The other Cecil Tanton, I had shown as Cecil Tanton, son of Charles Marion "Babe" Tanton and wife, Emma Smith. However, a cousin does not recall this Cecil being a son of Charles and Emma. I was told this Cecil was married to 'A.'. No one knew her, except by 'A'. Can you shed any light on this?? I want to have my records reflecting facts not stories, etc.! ALSO, in the data you sent in last posting, you had: 1840 Federal Census, Butler County, Alabama, page 145, line 25: TAUNTON, JNO. H. 1 male under 5 years old 1 female under 5 years old 1 male 20-30 years old 1 female 20-30 years old (The entry immediately preceding John's was for his father-in-law, Isaac Gore.) Do you know if you had any KEITH's or JACKSON's married into any of your Tanton/Taunton families, especially those in Butler County, AL? I ask because my gr, gr gr, & gr gr gr gr/ft's lived in Butler County, AL! Will be glad to give the details if you need them. Thanks for your help. I do appreciate it. Linda
