I suspect he had a prior marriage, since he was 55 when he maried Jane Park. I'm working on the Park side (Musgrove, actually), so I haven't followed the Siler line back, but only down. Solomon Siler is listed in the 1820 censuses in Conecuh Co., then in 1840 and 1850 in Pike Co. There are 117 entries for Solomon Siler in the Alabama land records index (federal land grants). Unfortunately, what I have is from a history of the country which doesn't mention anything of a prior family. It appears other Silers in Pike county are descendants of his cousins. All I can suggest is that you search family trees. I found a large Siler family tree online, but it doesn't have the couple you mentioned.
