Obit of D. W. Sellers in The Troy Messenger on March 4, 1925 D. W. Sellers of Banks, died Saturday evening at 8:35 after an illness lasting about two weeks. Mr. Sellers was one of the oldest and most prominent citizens of Banks. He had been a faithful member of the Mt. Zion Church for 32 years and will be greatly missed by his church and community. He is survived by his wife (Sophia Robinson [1859-1935]); three sons, C. E. Sellers of Troy; E. W. Sellers of Banks; H. M. Sellers of Montgomery; two daughters, Mrs. M. S. Greathouse of Banks; Mrs. M. L. Black of Hartford; one brother, R. W. Sellers and one sister, Mrs. Z. W. Shanks of Banks. The funeral occurred at 2:00 o'clock, Sunday afternoonat Ramer (Ramah) Church and was conducted by Elder A. H. Henderson. Interment was at the Ramer (Ramah) Cemetery. Sellers winged its flight to the spirit land. She was a sister of O. R. Dykes of Banks. Was a consistent member of the church. Her remains will be buried today nineteen miles North of the city.
