Elijah G. Childs was born about 1820 in GA died 1893 Webster County, MS. His wife was Susan Oswalt born SC. He is on the 1840 census of Pike County, AL and had at least two children born there William 1843 and Susan 1854. John 1845, Elisha Glaze 1850, and Thomas Wiley 1859 were born in AL possibly Pike County. Have not been able to find him on any census in anstate for 1850 or 1860. He arrived in Choctaw (later Webster) County, Mississippi in 1861. Any information would be appreciated.
