My line of Townsend`s was from Limestone Co., AL around 1820 to abt 1850. Then my gggrandfather went to Giles Co., Tn just across the state line of AL. Also one of my ggggrandmother was Elizabeth Gilmer married Joseph Hanna/Hannah(Giles Co., TN). My father name was William Gilmer Townsendand he went by Gilmer.
