I sure would appreciate help from anyone on the Pike County List researching the Armstrong surname. Searching the list Archives, I could find quite a few Armstrong listings but none that I could tie to my line. My 2ggf was Larkin S. Armstrong, whose Creek Indian War Bounty Land Application indicates was living in Pike County in 1855. Pike County Judge Bird Fitzpatrick wrote several letters to help him get this bounty land. By 1860 Larkin had moved to back to Quitman County, Ga. The only Armstrong I can find in Pike County in 1850 was Hugh Armstrong; Larkin's father Ludwell Armstrong probably had a brother named Hugh Armstrong.
