Troy Messenger 2-14-1961 Miss Segars Passes Away In Troy Hospital Miss Susan Rebecca Segars age 76 died Monday in a Troy hospital after a short illness. Miss Susie as she was affectionately known to many generations of kindergarten age children, had lived all he life in Troy. She had in years past assisted in a local kindergarten and for many years worked with the kindergarten age group in the Troy First Methodist Church. The funeral was held at 2 pm Tuesday afternoon at McGehee Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James E. Tate officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery. Survivors include one sister, Miss Myra Segars, Troy: two nieces and one nephew. Active pallbearers were W. G. Nabors, J. E. Landers, Earl Pinpin, David Conrad, Robert Thomas, Kleob Lucas, Sidney Starling and Thomas Dillard. **Note** Not my line just sharing
