I will make a trip there to try to find who the husband was of my Rhoda Mathis (Mathews), if there might be anything that would help. She shows up on the 1830 census as a widow with two small boys and subsequent census images have conflicting data on where she was born, her age, etc. She and her son and his family moved from Pike in 1850 to Attala County, MS. Her son was Wiley Mathis (Matthews, Mathews?) His wife was Sarah (Sary) Myers. Thank you all for all your help on this board.
