I had not gotten your post until I checked today. Do not know why? James Milton Gibson who married Mary Simmons had an older brother, Edwin L. Gibson who married Martha Jones in Pike Co., AL in 1833. Your right, Mary was a most common name. I have a good deal of Gibson and related family data. Thanks for your help. Anita
