    3. That info came from Marilyn Davis Hohn's book on Old Sparta and Elba Land Office. The maps in this book show in 1806 this part of Al. was in the St. Stephens area and then it was divided and made Sparta Office in 1822 then. It shows Cahaba as the Conecuh Court House in 1818 then Sparta in 1822 as the Conecuh C.H. then no more Sparta, renamed Elba in 1854 which was in Coffee County which was formed in 1842 I think. This is if I am reading these maps correctly. I have placed a lot of my research books from other counties on Gen-books for sale but have kept the 4 southern Land Office books until I get through with my research this fall anf then they will go on there for sale too. Since my health has gone south I see no need in keeping all of these and then when I am gone someone seeing no value in them throwing them away. As I told you I am just going to do my books now.
