    3. Regarding the Wilsons of Pike Co., I recently received an email from a Mary Ann Nichols who informes me that Reuben Wilson's wife Mary, was Mary Ray. If this is true, then she is likely the dau. of James Ray who was in Pike Co., by 1830 and whose son Goolsbury is enumerated on the 1850 Census without his surname Ray (see G. Burry or G. Bunny). Goolsbury's father James Ray (age 87) is also enumerated in the family. The Rays were also from North Carolina.
