Federal Census, James Cook is on page 21: 1 male 10-15 (this might be Alfred R. Cook, b. 1820) 1 male 15-20 2 males 20-30 1 male 40-50 (James Cook, b. 1780, S.C.) 1 female 5-10 1 female 30-40 (Susan Cook, b 1790, S.C.) On page 14 of that same 1830 Pike Co., Federal Census is: James Cook, age 20-30, wife 15-20, and with one male and one female, both under 5. In the 1840 Pike Co., AL. Federal Census, James Cook is on page 367: 1 male 15-20 (this could be Alfred R. Cook, b. 1820) 1 male 20-30 1 male 60-70 (James Cook, b. 1780, S.C.) 1 female 15-20 1 female 50-60 (Susan Cook, b. 1790, S.C.) On page 369 of that same census is James W. Cook, 20-30, female 20-30, and 2 males under 5. (This might be James Westley Cook.) In 1837, Westley Cook received land patents in sections 4 and 5 of township 9-N, range 23-E in Pike Co., AL. In 1837, James Cook received a land patent in section 4, township 9-N, range 23-E in Pike Co., AL. In 1850, James and Susan Cook were living on or near property owned by Alfred R. Cook (land patent of 1848) near Ebenezer Church and Cemetery on Naftel Road south of Ramer in Montgomery Co., AL. Any information on these Cook families will be appreciated.
