    2. Troy Messenger 5-3-1961 Funeral Set For Former Trojan On Thursday Mrs. John T. Russell who died in Andalusia Tuesday May 2 will be remembered as a former resident of Pike County and a member of one of the older and most prominent families in the community. It seems fitting that her remains are to be brought to her former home and laid to rest beneath the soil amid the scenes of her childhood days. She will be buried Thursday at 2:00 pm in Old Lebanon Church Cemetery, 6 miles south of Troy on Highway 231 near where she was born. Mrs. Russell "nee" Alma McLure was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry M. and Mary McLure who lived in the McLure community between Troy and Brundidge. Her husband was the late John T. Russell who died Jan. 22 1950 who was also well known throughout this section. Mrs. Russell is survived by 7 children, M. C. Russell, Eric Russell, Andalusia: Banard Russell, Brewton: Charles Russell, Tuscaloosa: Marion Russell: Mrs. Winnie Russell Lambert? "hard to read" and Mrs. Amy Russell Rodgers of Florida: There are 15? "hard to read" Grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. Mrs. Russell was well known in Pike County, and many friends and relatives mourn her passing. Among Pike County relatives are McLure's, Carroll's, Hamil's, and Gibson's. **Note** Not my line just sharing
