Troy Messenger 1-2-1961 Funeral Held Saturday For Robert Sprott Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock from the Chapel of McGehee Funeral Home for Robert Sprott age 76. Mr. Sprott died in a Troy hospital Friday afternoon following a long illness. Dr. John H. Thomas officiated. Burial was in Green Hills Memorial Park Cemetery Mr. Sprott was born in Livingston, Alabama. He was the son of the late Judge and Mrs. S. H. Sprott. He was formerly of Birmingham, but has resided in Troy for 13 years. He was married to Mrs. Laura Gains Hubbard Brunson of Troy, in 1937. Surviving are the widow, a sister, Mrs. Arthur Fite of Jasper: a brother, S. H. Sprott of Tuscaloosa and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers were George Nunnelee, James O'Neal, Henry Ben Wood, Marvin Little, William Wilkes, Charles M. Riddle, Ray Synco and Roy E. Jeffcoat. **Note** Not my line just sharing
