Did any of your relatives live in the Coffee County area? I'm not sure we are related but my grandmother's first marriage was to a Mr. Holmes. I haven't any information as to his first name or the date of their marriage but on June 5, 1910, in Coffee County, she married my grandfather, Jeff D. Phillips. Her maiden name was Myrtle Brown, but the marriage book for Coffee County list the brides name as Myrtle Holmes to Jeff D. Phillips. I do know that she had a son from her first marriage to Mr. Holmes, whose name was Forrest Holmes. Forrest lived in Cleveland Ohio several years. He didn't have children, of his own, as far as I know. I think if I could find his social security number, we could request a copy of the form he filled out, for social security that would give his father's full name, but I don't have that or his birthdate. I wish I could be of more help.
