Troy Messenger 2-7-1961 J. L. Pouncey Dies At Home On Monday Jimmie Louis Pouncey Sr. age 46, 519 Second Avenue died at his home Monday. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at four o'clock from Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhills Memorial Park. McGehee Funeral Home directing. The body will lie in state at the church from three until four o'clock. Survivors include the wife, Mrs. Hazel Beard Pouncey, Troy: two sons, Jimmie L. Pouncey Jr. and Johnny Pouncey both of Troy: one sister, Mrs. Earl Williford, Columbus, Tennessee: four brothers, William A. Pouncey, Goshen Route 1: Ralph E. Pouncey, Goshen: Zollie Pouncey, Troy: Sgt. Gerald Pouncey, Denver, Colorado: Active pallbearers will be Hilton Andrews, Carvel Anderson, Woodrow Flowers, Ray Martin, Luther Ray, Clarence Newsome, Alva Register, Charles Kelley. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of the Southside Baptist Church. Southside Sunday School Class and Dr. J. O.
