The source (name of the book) is Pike County Alabama News 1860-1864. April 22, 1864 Mrs. Martha Adams, consort of Mr. Wade H. Adams, departed this life on the 10th of April, 1864, in the 24th year of her age. Also, on the same day, her infant babe aged 7 weeks and 3 days. They were married April '56. Her illness which lasted 4 weeks, (during which she suffered much, was borne without murmuring or repining) with fortitude and composure. She joined the Methodist Protestant Church at the age of 14 years, and remained a member thereof until death. She was a kind and affectionate wife, a fond and doating mother, and a generous and obliging neighbor.
