Maggie, I have not talked to you in a while on the Carroll family but want to ask if you have ever met a woman named Merle Quast from Clayton, N.C. I met her some years back and we swapped info on the Lassiter's. She had done her search in N.C. and I had worked on Alabama. We swapped info and I was wondering if your Martha Patsy was born around 1797? I put my work and hers together and it shows Martha and Jason as brother and sister, children of Elijah Aug. 4, 1762 Northampton Co., N.C. who was a Revolutionary Soldier with wife listed as Lucy and a total of 12 children. Have 2 generations further back.
