    3. Just received your Abstracts from General Estates Books 20-25. Wow, what a gift. I've been looking for any information on the parents or siblings of my 3rd great grandfather, William Perdue, since 1991. The 1850 Pike Co. census had listed as members of his household, an 'Easter Perdue - 50 yrs' and 'M E Perdue - 18'. I could assume this was his mother and brother -- William was listed as 31 so the ages played out okay. But, I couldn't find anything else that either confirmed or reputed my assumption. When I started flipping through your book, the first name I saw was Esther (or Easter) Perdue and below her was Mahlan Perdue. Both Easter and Mahlan had died in 1856 and among the listing of the heirs for Easter was my William. I know now that she was the mother and M E was a brother. It also named 2 other brothers in Georgia and 2 sisters and their spouses. I was tempted to dance a jig. I just wanted to say -- Keep up the good work, guys. I truly appreciate it. San Antonio is a long way from Troy but if I could give you a big Texas hug and a kiss I would! Diane Christie Researching from Pike Co., AL -- Mullins and Perdue
