I must say I, too, requested information on membership in the historical society, looking forward to receiving bulletins, journals, and news of books available. I believe I did join one year -- the year the Heritage Book was being done, I think as I have one of those. I also offered numerous times and to numerous people Maj. John Henry Wood's diary and associated papers to be published in serial fashion in their publications -- no interest, no replies, no publications. I will say the Heritage Book was a huge and successful undertaking, I regret I did not get in gear and contribute.
Suzanne, I, too, have heard nothing from the society though I pay my membership three years at a time and for the last two years I've had nothing from them. I have tried to get a reply, but nothing but silence. My Wood family came from Pike County and I would truly love to see what you have on the Wood family....Monday I am going to try to call the Troy library and see if I can make a connection to someone in the society. I really enjoyed it when things were working properly.
