This school is located on County Road 1101 in the Shellhorn Community. I pass the school everyday on my way into Troy, and my stepmother (Patricia Sanders) attended school there in the 1950s. He worked as engineer in Hollywood and Lake City and as substation operator in Palatka, returning to the Lauderdale Plant in January of 1932. At Lauderdale he was successively piler, water tender, fireman, division load dispatcher, substation operator and switchboard operator. He was a member of the Hollywood First Baptist Church, being a deacon there. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. His son Meady lived in nearby Dallas County and all appear on the Estate Sale, including his widow Sarah.
