To all, Dot Schrieber, a Pike County researcher (schriber@trojan.troyst.edu), mentioned to me that we probably should let people know that the Pike County Courthouse will close soon for renovations. I think she said that it will close about November 17th and that, according to Judge Stone, research cannot be done for about a year. In the interim, necessary courthouse business will be conducted from the old Wal-Mart building in Troy. Dorothy Ann Folmar Pike Co., AL

Jack is, of course, not in Pike Co. but in northern Coffee Co. [Township 7, Range 20, Sections 13 & 24], but nearby cemeteries include these: Coffee Co.: Mt. Hebron Church (T7, R20, S1) Sharon Cem. (site of church) (T7, R20, S11) Bluff Springs Church (T7, R20, S20) Zoar Church (T7, R20, S31) Zion Chapel Church (T7, R20, S34) Perdue Church (T7, R21, S5) Shady Grove Church (T6, R20, S3) Pike Co.: Hopewell Church (T8, R20, S21) Center Ridge Church (T8, R21, S32) Wilson Family (T8, R21, S31) I'm sure there are others, but on my maps these are the ones I see that are within six miles or so of Jack.
