To all, This is to say that the Pike County Heritage Books -- at least those for local distribution -- arrived in Troy today, and someone brought me mine. It's a LARGE, red book, very nice. The books to be mailed out are in Clanton, Alabama, as Heritage Publishing is mailing them for us from there. I suppose everyone who pre-ordered a book should be receiving it soon. For those who want to order a book now, we can no longer sell at the pre-publication price. The cost now is $80.60 if the book is to be mailed and five dollars less than that if it will be picked up in Troy. Orders should be sent to Pike County Heritage Book Committee (or Pike County HBC), P. O. Box 112, Troy, AL 36081. Dorothy Ann Folmar Pike Co., AL

The info I have is that they were married in Pike County on May 29, 1839. If anyone can do a look-up for me, I sure would appreciate it! Thanks!
Posted on: Pike County, Al Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Al/Pike/1853 Surname: ------------------------- Searching for information on Josiah Jackson b. 1829 and his wife Mary Elizabeth Williams who resided on an eighty acre farm in Pike County. Their daughter Nettie Foy Jackson b. 5/6/1879, d. 3/26/1951 (Jackson County, FL) was my great grandmother. Old family rumors suggest an Indian heritage somewhere on this side of the family. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
