Posted on: Pike County, Al Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Al/Pike/11971 Surname: McKenzie, Butler ------------------------- I am trying to track down the obituary and/or death records of Alexander McKenzie who is buried with his wife Sarah "Sallie" Butler McKenzie in Troy AL (Pike County). The McKenzies moved to Troy from Gadsden County FL following the civil war. They are in the 1850 Gadsden County census. I suspect the death occurred sometime between 1868 and 1890. According to the 1840 and 1850 Florida census records, Alexander McKenzie was born in Georgia. Sarah was born in Craven County North Carlolina.
