Miller. I have no information about Mary Catherine Tomlinson, except that she had prophetic dreams, was short in stature but firm of will, and I have one small snapshot photograph from the 1930's, where she is elderly. Could these be descendants of Nancy Barefoot and Alva Tomlinson? thanks, Denise Dotson Low

Posted on: Pike County, Al Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Al/Pike/11988 Surname: ------------------------- About this minute must have been one of the most disturbing news articles I have had. The death of Dorothy will affect many of us researchers who have needed to find out information about our families. Dorothy was always a trooper in helping us. She will be missed by many of us. What bothered me was when I looked at her at the date she died and realized this was my birthday. I hope Ms Kathlyn sees this and I want her to know she is in our thoughts and prayers and to let her know we will always remember her daughter as a very thoughtful person. Kathlyn, we never had the opportunity to meet her, but through our correspondence we learned to love her and hold the highest respect for what she has done for me. Take care and let me know if I can help you in anyway. LOVE and GOD BLESS YOUR FAMILY Saundra Cherokee County Texas

Posted on: Pike County, Al Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Al/Pike/11975 Surname: Goodson, Leatherwood, Kennington, Pettus, Cook, Fortune, Collins ------------------------- I have more information for you. Give me a little time to sort through. Here is a little bit. James Bean is the son of Eli Leatherwood who is a brother to my great grandmother Nancy Mariah(Mary)Leatherwood who married Queen Goodson in Pike County, AL. Eli M. married Frances Evie ? and they resided in Pike County. Eli's father was Ira W.Leatherwood, my gg-grandfather. Ira W father was William. I really try harder research on the Goodson's and my grandfather's name was John Bean Goodson. Strange I see this name Bean keeps popping up so I'm wondering the connection for the name Bean and where and who it came from in the past families. Maybe a last name somewhere is going to connect. Please email me anytime. I will gladly share any information I have on the Leatherwood's. Stay in touch. Cheryl
