    2. Joe Mack Walker
    3. Posted on: Pike County, Al Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Al/Pike/12109 Surname: STANDLEY, STEPHENS ------------------------- John W. STANDLEY married Mary Jane STEPHENS on 11 January, 1841 Pike County. I believe this is the same John W. STANDLEY who was the son of Jame STANDLEY of Henry County, AL. James STANDLEY died in 1846 and in the final settlement of his estate, in 1852, son John W. STANDLEY was listed as deceased and his portion of the estate went to his 3 minor sons, Green Malone, John Oliver and Leonard. Because there was no marriage record on John W. STANDLEY in Henry County, I thought this might be the same STANDLEY.

Posted on: Pike County, Al Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Al/Pike/12095 Surname: Powell, Watson ------------------------- Searching for information on the Watson family that lived in Pike (or Montgomery?)Co AL in 1868. Only names I have are Elisha Watson, my Great Grand mother. mother of my Grand mother Anna Watson Powell b. October 1868 and Elisha's sister; Charlotte (Lottie) Watson. After death of Elisha, Anna's mother, her sister Charlotte (who had been previously married to an Allen) married Anna's father George Powell, he was b. Oct 1826 and his parents were from SC there by becoming Anna's step mother; as well as her Aunt. The 1870 Pike Co census taken June 1870 shows Anna with her father George. as unmarried. Later that year after census taken Charlotte (Lottie), married Anna's father. The family moved when Anna was 15 years old to Texas in 1883; traveling with a Folmar (Fulmer) Family from Pike Co., AL. This is all the info I have on the Watson family. Would like to locate more informationm about this Watson ( and the Powell ) family, i.e.parents, marriages, siblings.
