Troy Messenger 8-8-1961 Funeral Service Held Monday For Glenn Jones Funeral services for Glenn Jones, publisher of The Troy Herald, were held at Troy First Methodist Church Monday at 10:30. Rev. Marvin Warwick and Rev. Marvin Vickers officiated at the service. Burial was in Greenhills Memorial Park with McGehee Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Jones died of a heart attack early Saturday in Oxford, Mississippi. He had been on a business trip in Oxford for several days prior to his death. A graduate of Birmingham Southern. Mr. Jones was employed with The Birmingham News and The Anniston Star before going as business manager to the Tuscaloosa News. He has been publisher of The Troy Messenger since 1949. At the time of his death, he was serving as president of the Troy Chamber of Commerce, was a member of the Troy Rotary Club and on the board of Steward's of Troy First Methodist Church. Surviving in Troy are the widow, Mrs. Katherine Davidson Jones: two children, Bryan and Carol. Active pallbearers were Sigmund Rosenberg, Dr. H. T. McKinnon, Michael Boisclair, L. P.
