Hello Jean Larson: I am a relative of Homer Webb Pippin. Homer's father (Samuel married to Luella Ansley) was a brother to my grandfather (William Augustus Pippin). I had heard that Homer was a Dean of Men at some college in Texas; but through the internet, I have discovered he passed away in 1973 in Utah. Any info on the whereabouts of his siblings; Betty, Pearl, Travis, Ada, Samuel, Nannie Christine? I have just started doing research on the Pippin part of my family and would love to share info with you. I am sorry I do not have any info yet on the Ansley-Smith heritage from the 1840's. Thanking you in advance, Glenda
Ted, Do you have anymore on Amy Kirksey, we, the Kirkseys (some of them, anyway), are trying to determine if she is Isaac's daughter or sister. Any information will be appreciated. Besides Isaac (page 169, 54 years old, born in SC) there was 3 other families of Kirksey in Pike County for the 1850 Census that I have recorded in my notes: John (page 169, 21 years old, born in SC), Edward (page 189, 25, born in SC) and Elizabeth (page 197, 63, born in VA). Thank you for bringing Amy to our attention, Terry jandlucas@ghg.net wrote: > Ron > > I am a descendant of Benjamin and Elizabeth Ramsey Talbot. Oh, I thought you had a connection to Pike County, AL because that is the board my inquiry was posted in. I guess there is no connection between the two William Andersons if yours was not from Alabama.
No, I do not know were my grandfather entered the military.I know my family came from the Carolinas to Tenn., then to Missouri, down to Ark., then into Okla.
I have nothing on your Pugh/peugh/etc. The only one I have is the Issac J Pugh b 1835 Va and I cannot determine parents or siblings for him. Good luck! Margie
What was Nancy's middle name? Was it Melzora?
Hi, Do you have any information on the Asa Peugh and James Peugh? Asa married my great grandmother Liddie Drain on 10-23-1890 in Marshall Co. Ala. James Peugh witnessed the marriage. I have a copy of his marriage licence. James Peugh married Sarah M. Bryant on 12-1891 in Marshall Co. Ala. Asa Peugh had a son of this union, which is my grandfather John Chapman Pugh born 9-3-1891. These were the only Peugh's in Marshall Co. at that time with this spelling and James Peugh with his brother. When I found your info and the Peugh line by Warren Williams, I know I have the right family line. Went to Ala. Archives in Montgomery last month and I found this. I live in Metairie, La. which is suburb of New Orleans. Hope you can help with any of this. I got a copy of the 1880 census and it show Asa Peugh with a wife named Sarah. Asa was living next door to William Peugh his dad and Sarah his mom with brothers and sisters. Do you have any info on Asa's wife Sarah? What happened to her or w! hat happened to Asa? I've been told by family members that Liddie and Asa didn't stay married for long. Maybe five years tops. Thanks for any help! Shirley

Joe I received your e-mail and sent a genealogy report to you. No reply. E-mail must not be working correctly. I have new Barefoot info since talking with you. Dad had written in his bible that your great grandfather was Ellick Zanda William Barefoot, married to Margaret Foxworth. Your grandfather, Jesse William "Dallas" Barefoot and his wife, Mary Della Carnley, are buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Bonifay, Florida. Jesse and Della were married in Holmes Co., Florida. Check out Ancestry.com for some family info. For great grandfather Weeks, type William Thomas Weeks, Alabama. If you have Family Tree Maker or some other genealogy program, you can download the file. If not, you can skip around by clicking on different names and view the information. Keep trying to reach me personally. Good luck! Anyone with info on the Barefoot family, please reply. Sorry, but I don't have any other information on Della Carnley or Margaret Foxworth.
I have a picture of my great grandmother, Lucy Crowell Anderson, she is very Indian in appearance. Her husband William Anderson is listed as "dark mulatto" in his military records, home when he mustered in is listed as Troy, Pike County, AL. Do you know the regiment your William Anderson served in, and whether he mustered in in Alabama?
