Yep, it sure is the same page that Heritagequest has indexed as Pike County. Sorry I didn't pay better attention to that. So is he related to Wiley Reeves who ended up in Arkansas, also? I know Wiley was deceased before 1900 but his family stayed in the area.

This is a perfect example of the danger of relying on faulty indexes, rather than going to the original document for information. I've e-mailed you an image of the top of the page on which Eralbun appears in 1870: page 477 of Randolph Co., AL (Post Office: Wedowee).

I just looked again, and heritagequest has 1870 Pike County census Evallem (when you look it is Eralbun Reaves and wife Mary J.) Reaves, with child Irvin and with Frances age 16 is in the household, Frances being Fanny Hand. I have found that my Wiley is the son of James Marion Reeves, but is Eralbun not connected to this family, somehow? Maybe I am wrong about the years, but I know in 1880 he lives beside Orion in clay. In 1870, this person lives beside a Brooks family and is Evellem Reaves. I am just trying to figure out my children's Reeves family. And the proximity to the Wiley in Alabama and Arkansas made me wonder

On the Find A Grave website, there are several cemeteries listed in Brundidge and all of them have a few burials listed, although none of them seem to have complete listings of who is interred there. You might get lucky and find your relative(s) listed. Some of the individuals also have obits and pics, and there are addresses and location maps, too. Hope this helps! If you have not already done so, you might want to consider "googleing" Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery Pike Co AL to see what comes up....Good Luck! David, I just saw your posting and I have been trying to get some info on my grandfather. He died in Ga. in 1932, all I have is his death certf., which states his body was shipped to Brundridge Al. Do you know how old the Brundridge City cemetery is? The funeral home here in Ga.was bought out by someone else and of course the new owners have no records from 1932. Thanks and good luck on your search. Lora [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected])
