I;m sure you've been replied to, but the Troy library has copies of all the marriage records. It used to be just 10 cents for a copy, but it may have increased by now. Contact them at(334)566-1314 and they will tell you what to do. Bryan
This is true but some people like to have them to use all along. ----- Original Message ----- From: "bryan" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, June 28, 2006 1:35 PM Subject: RE: [AL-PIKE] Where do I send for marriage records 1857-1921 > I;m sure you've been replied to, but the Troy library has copies of all the > marriage records. Hi everyone, New to the list and trying to find where to send for marriage records in Pike County, AL. I tried to use the web but only could find the state address for later records and I am more focusing on the early marriages. I do not like to use Vital Check they have proven to be wrong so many times in the past. What do I need to send a SASE and check or money order and how much and what address? Thank you so much Bushy Hartman

Ishmael (Cornton, Carrington?) did own land in Pike County in 1900. Would there be any records extant that would show not only his name, but also where his land was? Strange, but I have seen his last name spelled at least seven different ways, but always starting with "Car" or "Cor". Anyway, any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you!
Perry, do you know if you had a Clarence Youngblood who lived in the Panama City,Lynn Haven, Florida area??? He married one of my 1st cousins, Miss Carroll. Thanks so much..Again, fellow researchers come through. I really appreciate your taking the time to read the e-mail and then send the marriages you found. If I can return the favor in any way just give a shout. I live in Dallas, Tx and we have an excellent genealogy dept at our library. So if you have ancestors who came to Texas I might could help.

Working on the John H. Walters family. He married Sarah Stephens. Would like to correspond with anyone working on this family. Thanks, Ann Hill in Dallas, TX
I need the marriage date of George Newton Stanley and Susan V. Walters/Waters. The date would be between 1870 and 1880. If anyone has a book of marriage records for this time period I would appreciate you looking this up; as well as any other Walters names. Thamks.
