I am seeking information on a Alexander MACLEOD as well, he married an Elizabeth SOLOMON. She was born in 1832 in Marion County Georgia. She was not listed in her father's household for the 1850 census of Dale County Alabama, so she had to be married by that time. She is buried in the Union Cemetery of Ozark Alabama. I do not know anything about her husband, accept his name. These were the ancestors of SOLOMON MACLEOD who married a Grace MARTIN. He either was from Troy or Seale Alabama. Elizabeth's sister Frances married a relation of Alexander he was Daniel MACLEOD 1822-1898. This couple is buried in Skipperville, Alabama at Asbury Methodist Cemetery. Elizabeth and Frances brother was the Methodist minister JohnWesley SOLOMON. Any clue as to how I can find information on this family? . MaryMargaret Believe we descend from Fanny Wyatt and Rebuen Jeffcoat. I have seen on the Internet Fanny is the daughter of Elijah. We received a family tree from my 84 yr old uncle that state d this but have yet to find out where HE got this information. I am hoping its just not from other Internet surfing. So.....unless its long standing family records or his memory of talking to his grandparents, I cannot verify any of my tree. Just starting this line. Don't know exactly what you are looking for but I can tell you that Heads of Household Theophilus Floyd and Charles Floyd were brothers, and the Rowlin children listed in their households are their nieces and nephews, sons and daughters of their sister Nancy, whose husband died ca 1845. Don't know where Nancy was at the time of the census - maybe remarried? The Elizabeth Floyd age 70 listed with Charles Floyd is the mother of Charles and Theophilus. Sherry Bowers

They are nice places to research and now they have the marriages, wills, estate records and more on Pike County. That makes it so nice to be able to do so much at one place and do it yourself. There is a great deal of satisfaction in being able to do it yourself. Of course I live in Pike but my research books are being published in S.C. I always enjoyed research when I was able to do it but now I am pretty much housebound and try to help from here with things I know and the books that I have published. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bushy Hartman" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, July 15, 2006 4:02 PM Subject: [AL-PIKE] sadly not all FHC's are created equal > Hi Susie, > I live in SC in a very rural area that the local FHC does have microfilm > readers but they do not print.
