Seeking information regarding a place called "Indian Creek" in Pike county. It was a census area for 1860. Any help appreciated
Well, I admit I have never watched her more than just in passing. I do not watch any of the MSM programs--news or otherwise. If I have the TV on in the morning, it is Fox & Friends. I get much of my news from the Internet.. I think that is ridculous. I do not think the copyright law applies to a book published in 1905. Don't they merely cover 20 years, and it is in the public domain afterward. . First of all I would like to extend thanks to all of those who have shared so generaously in response to my query about Fox Henderson Catrett. I have a death certificate for Fox Catrett, who died during the flu epidemic of January 1918. It doesn't give the place of burial. Anyone have an idea where I might find this information? From responses I have, his parents, William Randolph and Dycy Catrett are buried in Mt. Moriah Church Cemetery. I do have data on Fox' widow and their children if anyone is interested. For love of family history, Rose Dennis Adams

Regarding the Wilsons of Pike Co., I recently received an email from a Mary Ann Nichols who informes me that Reuben Wilson's wife Mary, was Mary Ray. If this is true, then she is likely the dau. of James Ray who was in Pike Co., by 1830 and whose son Goolsbury is enumerated on the 1850 Census without his surname Ray (see G. Burry or G. Bunny). Goolsbury's father James Ray (age 87) is also enumerated in the family. The Rays were also from North Carolina.
