Surnames: Parham Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/VS.2ADE/506.1.1 Message Board Post: LaVerne, Drury Parham has a will posted on the internet which list all his children, wife and grandson who inherited his property. It was located in Spartanburg, SC. His younget son Young Parham inherited most of the property. Ten years later most of the family including Young had left SC for AL. Some settled in Madison Co. AL, some in Pickens Co. and Green Co. and one in Franklin Co. This whole area is very rich land to farm. The big plantations in AL before the civil war were in those counties. The family left in SC that I know of was a daughter by the name of Sarah (I think). She married a Ferguson. They remained in SC and have a family cemetary close to Spartanburg. I'll have to check my records on all this . I'm answering at work and my notes are at home. I would like very much to know more about the SC family. I'd appreciate any info you care to share.
