But, I would be greatly interested in a particular one, if you ever come across it. I have been trying to find out more about Gizzardsville, Tusc. Co., Ala Post Office. Acc. to my g-gf's death certificate, he was born in Gizzardsville, Ala ( the co. name wasn't shown), but according to his dau ( my grandmother), he was born and raised in Pickens Co., Ala. I do know they lived in Pickens Co. until about 1890, but if he was born in Gizzardsville, then he was born in Tusc. Co., which is the next co. east;unless of course, the co. lines changed by 1878 when he was born. I can't find Gizzardsville on any old maps and I've looked at quite a few from the mid to late 1800's, but I do know there was a Gizzardsville P.O. cause it was listed on the 1860 Tusc. Co., Ala as one of the Districts. Anyway, to make a long story short ( ha), I would greatly appreciate it if you would contact me if you ever get a copy of Gizzardsville Post Office, Tusc. Co., Ala. I would be willing to pay a reasonable amt for the pic and the postage,etc.. Thanks again ! Dawn Dykes Petz ccddpetz@seark.net
